COUNSELLING & SUPPORT

Compassionate care for the community

Affordable & Professional Counselling

Acacia Counselling is a community counselling service established through Perth Bible College, providing accessible and affordable support for individuals, couples, and families.

Counselling sessions are facilitated by counselling students who are developing their professional skills under the close supervision and mentorship of an experienced registered counsellor.

This unique model enables clients to receive compassionate, quality care at a significantly reduced cost while also supporting the training of the next generation of counselling professionals.

At Acacia Counselling, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where people can explore life’s challenges and work towards positive change.

Originally from the US, Bre moved to Perth in January 2025 to be closer to her husband Jono’s family and the sun.

Alongside her role at PBC, Bre works in private practice as a counsellor primarily with adult individuals and couples. She especially loves working with those who desire healthier and more meaningful relationships – whether with a spouse or extended family, a coworker or boss, or in a small group or church setting. Bre believes we are all created by a relational God who cares deeply about our connection with Him and with others and so she feels passionate about empowering others to grow in this area.

As the Counselling Coordinator at PBC, Bre is excited to support and encourage students as they develop their skills and identity as counsellors. She especially enjoys mentoring others and values the opportunity to invest in students in a way that complements her clinical work.

Outside of work, Bre enjoys having unhurried conversation over coffee, playing social board games, singing in a community choir, and opening the doors of her home to family and friends both old and new.

Fifi Jacob – Student Counsellor

Hi I’m Fifi, a student counsellor who understands the power of being deeply heard. For me, counselling is not just about techniques or modalities — it’s about the relationship we build together. What I value most is creating a space where you feel genuinely listened to, supported, and safe. My hope is that in our time together, you experience a sense of warmth, calm, and trust.

My personal story shapes the way I practise. Coming from a Middle Eastern background, supporting a family member with a disability, and navigating my own mental health journey have taught me patience, compassion, and the belief that every person deserves to be heard and to heal. These experiences remind me that life’s challenges can be met with steadiness, the right tools, and the right people around you.

I bring a strong sense of curiosity to my work — a genuine desire to understand people deeply and to keep learning. I am committed to growing my knowledge, expanding my skills, and continually developing as a counsellor. Curiosity keeps me open, reflective, and willing to explore new ways of supporting the people I work with.
Professionally, my journey has taken me across disability support, school chaplaincy, behavioural education, and youth work. I’ve supported individuals from early childhood through to older adulthood. Although much of my work has centred around supporting young people, I welcome clients of all ages and backgrounds.

My passions include youth wellbeing, mental health, disability support, relationships, newlyweds, and pre‑marital counselling. Being newly married myself, I’ve developed an even deeper appreciation for relationship work. I’m continually developing my skills and have growing interests in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping), holistic whole‑person approaches, and integrating biblical teachings for clients who desire faith‑based support.
I offer a safe, confidential space to explore your story — a place where you can think of me as a trusted confidant supporting your growth.
